Gil is a psychiatrist with broad experience across both public and private health sectors with further training in psychotherapy. He has previously worked at St Vincent’s Hospital and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and has a special interest in supporting individuals with challenges surrounding end-of-life and terminal illness. He was a trial therapist in Australia’s first psychedelic-assisted therapy study exploring psilocybin-assisted therapy for depression and anxiety associated with life-threatening illness and continues to be involved in psychedelic therapy research via Monash University. Gil is a graduate of Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy training and incorporates a humanistic, holistic approach to psychiatric practice.
